It is already two weeks, when we returned back to Slovakia from sunny (spring) Cyprus. In small city Paralimni, at the east of Mediterranean island Cyprus, we took part in the youth exchange with the name Sport your mind. The title already indicated, that we will talk a lot about sport. But our trip didn´t start in the best way…
During days 24.May – 1.june 2016 took place in Croatian city Kolenica Youth Exchange with title Work it!. Kolenica is the city, which is situated in beautiful surroundings, approximately 45 km from the capital city Zagreb, where met amazing group of twenty youngsters from Slovakia, Italy, Croatia and Bulgaria. Together with great team of people, which took care of us all the time, we experienced unforgettable staying full of not only brilliant experiences, but also amazing adventures and international friendships.
When I read about youth Exchange in Tenerife, I was very excited, not just because of exotic place, but also the topic was perfect – Loading healthiness. The description said it will be about sports, healthy food, lifestyle and noncommunicable deseases. I am possesed about finding the perfect healthy lifestyle for me, so I immediatelly decided to go there. As the date of departure was getting closer, I started to be scared. I am quite introverted person and I was afraid of being with completely unknown people for 12 days. Luckilly, my worries started getting lost at the airport, where I met part of Slovak group. They were kind and funny and helped me with all airport stuff, asi t was my first flight ever.
It was shortly after New Year’s Eve when we, 3 Slovak girls, were looking forward to our 1 week long trip to city of European Parliament, quality chocolate and well known sculpture of peeing boy…yes right, in Brussels. It was training included in program Erasmus + with title “Vivid” and we had a chance to get there thanks to Slovak NGO ADEL that send us there.
Travelling to the village Agros in Cyprus, where our training course “New Employment Opportunities” was held was long, especially for me from High Tatras. I met first participant as co-envoy from organization ADEL and Slovakia on the way to Vienna airport. We spent 4 hours waiting for our flight to Larnaca but our excitement was not ruin. We were happy that we leave chilly Slovakia for one week, and also curios, what we experience on the island of Aphrodite birth.
Training course (TC) Volunteering – as a guarantee of future leadership took place in Rustavi, Georgia, from 8th to 15th November 2014. Rustavi is a city situated on a southeast of Georgia, not far from capital of the country, Tbilisi. Thirty youngsters from all of the Europe – Slovakia, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Lithuania, Croatia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Georgia- has attended to this course rich in diversity of languages and cultures. I lived with two Turkish and two Azerbaijan guys. Awesome mates…
