Summary what was youth exchange about:

Until the end of the project, you will have a deeper understanding on what digital marketing is and what is it’s purpose. You will develop competences in creating marketing strategies, monitor them and analyse the results. You will acquire knowledge necessary for social networks marketing and will learn to use Facebook Ads Manager, Facebook Pixel and Instagram to promote ads, track engagement, impressions and costs. You will develop personal and professional skills for successful freelancing.

Considering young people all around the Europe are struggling to transit from education to employment, we seek to enhance the sense of initiative of youth on self-employment by introducing them to freelancing as an alternative to a regular job. One of the indicators showing lack of initiative among youth is youth unemployment rate, e. g. SK 17% and RO 16.8%. These numbers show not only how many young people are unemployed, but also how many of them don’t try to take a different approach and be self-employed, e. g. to be a freelancer.

Through this project we aimed to raise the sense of initiative of the participants to approach self-employment by familiarizing them with freelancing as well as to develop their competences on digital marketing which can help them to enter the global labour market as the freelancer considering the growth of online advertising.

Objectives of the project:
✰ Increase competences of the participants from the partner countries in using digital marketing as powerful tool in successful freelancing.
✰ Facilitate nonformal safe learning contexts in which the participants will exchange ideas and attitudes towards freelancing and will identify useful tools in freelancing.
✰ Raise awareness of the participants about the possibilities and advantages of freelancing and Erasmus+ programme.

Result and Impact:
This project enhances sense of initiative, the development of digital marketing and freelancing competences of the young people aged 16-19 enabling them to enter the global labour market with freelancing activities. This allowed them to earn money and to support themselves. In a longer of time project contributes to their communities’ economies as well as slightly increase employment of youth at regional, national and European levels.

Youth exchange was for young people between 16 – 30 years old. Participants were from Romania Romania and Slovakia Slovakia. From each country 27 participants!
