The main objective of the Eco-Athletes youth exchange project is to raise awareness among young people about the impact of human activities on the environment and the role that sports can play in promoting sustainable living. The project aims to educate youth on the importance of protecting the environment and living sustainably through sports and to encourage healthy habits, proper nutrition, and an active lifestyle. Additionally, the project aims to promote active citizenship by encouraging participants to take action on environmental issues and become agents of change in their communities. The project also aims to build cross-cultural connections and develop key competencies and skills through its activities, while supporting the personal and social development of the youth participants. The project will focus on addressing environmental challenges facing participating countries in Europe including air pollution, dependence on fossil fuels, low recycling rates, and deforestation. Additionally, the project aims to address the low physical activity rate among European youth.
Main objectives of the project:
● Raise awareness about environmental issues and empower youth to take action.
● Promote sustainable practices and healthy lifestyles through sports.
● Foster active citizenship and empower youth to become agents of change in their communities.
● Build cross-cultural connections and encourage learning from different cultures.
● Develop key competencies and skills through sports activities, fostering personal and social growth.
Youth exchange is for everyone who is interested in the topic and would like to travel and meet new people and cultures. Between the age of 18 – 26, leader can be over 30.
Participants will be from Hungary , Spain , Romania , Poland , Bulgaria and Slovakia . There will be 6 participants from each country.
Accommodation HERE and food will be provided and financed from the Erasmus + program during the whole project. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to 180 euro. Detailed information regarding financial procedures are written in FAQ and will be further explained with selected participants.
