The project “EMPATHY Educational Movement to Promote Awareness and Thoughtfulness on Holocaust History in Youth”, is based on the identified problem – low level of knowledge and distortion about the historical events concerning the Holocaust, which can be the starting point for the disrespect of European values and human rights. The program is suitable for students of history, Judaic studies, religious studies, and those interested in history, as well as for students majoring in education and the humanities.
Goals:
- To support increasing knowledge about the Holocaust, enhancing the recognition of the European project, and maintaining an inclusive society that values celebrity and respects European values.
- To train professionals in the area of formal, informal and non-formal education, to promote the knowledge of young adults about the Holocaust, based on accurate information and, simultaneously, to promote engaging learning environments about the Holocaust and the European and world current affairs
- To develop young adults’ knowledge of the Holocaust and enable them to draw parallels between these events and today while preparing them to become agents of awareness and education on issues such as human rights and social inclusion;
