Project type

Selected participants

For 7 days, the 27 participants will live together in a Youth hostel in Guía de Isora, a small village in souh of Tenerife.

The project takes advantage of the benefits offered by non-formal education and collaborative learning techniques to experience, implement and develop outdoor education activities. We will explore language learning techniques, treasure hunts, heritage interpretation games, volunteering and environmental leisure activities to teach the importance of local heritage, and activities that raise awareness about the fragility and protection of the environment.

Participants will learn outdoor education tools and techniques, and will apply them to create prototypes of outdoor education activities, which can be then
adapted and used in their projects and daily work. We will carry out and test these newly-developed activities experiencing first-hand what is the meaning of
implementing outdoor educational activities and how they can contribute to the young people’s development. As part of the dissemination activities, participants will have to contribute to the description of their activity, which will be put in an online Tool-Box.

Through the project, youth workers will learn techniques that will allow them to work with young people in a new, more attractive and healthy way. This
project responds to a clear need shared by all partners for a modern education model, committed to nature.

Training course is for everyone who is interested in the topic and is in daily contact with youngsters either as a youth worker, teacher, leader, volunteer, is part of any organization where young people are gathering, school or sport clubs, and etc. From the age of 18+.

Selected participants have to participate in a 30-minute online webinar before departure / date to be specified. Since all these projects are funded by the EU and since the goal of the EU and many projects is to encourage as many young people as possible to be interested in the EU and come to vote in next year’s European elections. That’s why we decided to hold a short 30-minute webinar about how the EU works and the European elections for all selected participants.
