This project aimed to up-skill youth workers, those who are already self-employed, freelancers, and provide business advice to improve soft skills, management skills and their future prospects for creating a sustainable entrepreneurial practice.
The goal of this learning event consisted of 3 themes :
- Introduction of the participants: To develop cooperation and team spirit about the common goal in a non-formal manner.
- Up skill the entrepreneurial and management skills of the participants: Generating applicable business ideas, analyzing the market, use their resources efficiently and effectively, finance their enterprise wisely & strategic business planning.
- Focus on developing the necessary soft skills for entrepreneurs.
Objectives:
? To combat discrimination, inequality and other forms of exploitation in the workplace.
? To learn, through sharing of practices and regulations, the realities in other countries. What kind of opportunities and possibilities do the self-employed have? What are the risks of being self-employed and what are your benefits?
? To create a European network among at least the four organizations that work with youth, advocacy and labor rights to ensure the exchange of good practices and support of SE rights.
? To foster participants’ knowledge, skills and abilities about entrepreneurship and sound management skills.
? It helps the participants to develop their soft skills.
? To equip youth workers and youth self-employed with the basic concept and skills of advocacy to be able to create their own intervention.
Participants were from Italy , Greece , Portugal , Cyprus and Slovakia . 4 participants from each country.
