Mário was doing his EVS in the organization – Association “INSPIRATION” and here are a few words from him …

I have excellent conditions in the organization and I work with great team. My inner voice did not disappoint me at the beginning of the year since I chose really well. And actually I’m a little afraid now that 8 months is going to be little for me 😀

This week I was teching English grammar, with another group I had conversations. In addition, I organized a workshop on “How to write an extraordinary CV”. The next week a similar program is waiting for me, but the worskhop will be different. This time I will focus on the motivation letter. During the school year, I promoted Erasmus+ in high schools and spread awareness about our country. Just a few days ago I came one local student came back from Slovakia, so I am doing something probably somehing well 🙂 Besides presentations, I was also in charge of normal lessons. English teacher in gymnasium was absent, and in the whole region was not better replacement than me 😀

In June, there were 15 short-term EVS volunteers that came here for 1 month. Together, we organized and helped with a number of different events, including the city carnival. June was very lively, and at the end of the festival we also had an international festival of maghoreans in Ruse. We managed to bring also the current world masters from Hlohovec, who first enjoyed Black Sea in Varna, and then made a great impression at the festival and presented Slovakia in the best way. The municipal government of Ruse wants to continue cooperation with them in the future.

International Photography Competition, International Dance Festival, International Youth Exchange and many others … I have been involved in al those events. Others are waiting for us in the coming months, I’m already looking forward to them.

PS 1: In the meantime, I organized the first Slovak cultural evening – a meal and drinks worth up to 100 euros on the table disappeared really quickly. And Slovakia as a destination for future holidays was marked in many diaries (Egypt, Tunisia, Spain, Portugal, Greece, …).

PS 2: When it’s time, I’m traveling on. I feel comfortable, but I have already been in Romania, Macedonia, Albania and Serbia. And in Bulgaria, I visited Sofia, Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo and a few less known destinations.

PS 3: Age is just a number. If you know about potential candidates who think they are old to go for EVS, let them know that it’s never too late! So unless they are over 30, because then it is (formally) really late 😀
