WHEN? last weekend of June (28-30 June – beginning on Friday night)

WHERE? accommodation and training in the hostel Sypanec in the village of Spišský Hrušov and hike will be in the Slovak Paradise on Sunday

WHO? people aged between 17-35 (approximately 10-20 participants)

WHAT? Content and Program:

1 day – Friday evening – getting know each others and teambuilding activities

2 day – Saturday – workshops and discussion topics:

• social entrepreneurship – what is it? What are the opportunities?
  What are business start-up support (EU funding, training and internship programs, investors, crowdfunding, etc.)
• discussions and exchange of opinion on entrepreneurship in Slovakia, obstacles, challenges, opportunities and potential
• development and preparation of new projects, initiatives and business ideas that would contribute to solving various social problems in Slovakia,
• share information on good practices and digital learning material created in the framework of the “Entrepreneurial Skills for Youth” project (more here: https://www.adelslovakia.org/events/entrepreneurship-skills-for-youth)
• barbecue (discussions in non-formal atmosphere)

3 day – Sunday – hike in Slovak Paradise

Weekend was ideal for:

• those who would like to start a business , an NGO or a new initiative in the future
• those of you who would like to learn more about this topic but are employed and cannot take a week off from work to attend a weekly training abroad,
• those who would like to meet other smart, hard-working and motivated Slovaks 🙂

The weekend was co-funded by Erasmus+ programme and was part of a project “Entrepreneurial Skills for Youth / Youth for Social Entrepreneurship” (ESY / YSE), that aim to identify and share best practices and initiatives on entrepreneurship among young people in participating countries (Cyprus, Hungary, Mexico, Romania, Slovakia). We developed two comprehensive digital learning materials that include best practices,  information and proven methodologies. The first educational material is focused on entrepreneurship in general, the second more specifically on social entrepreneurship. These materials will help and encourage young people to start their business, but they will also be presented with the idea of ​​being socially responsible. Subsequently, a seminar was held to allow participants to discuss and propose improvements for the elaborated teaching materials and curriculum together, and the national training to provide participants with basic knowledge of social entrepreneurship is completed by the project.
