Proyecto Kieu has been organizing european youth exchanges since 2012. For us they are an amazing opportunity to offer to local young people, so they could try something new, gain autonomy and develop competences. We manage 11 youth centres in the municipalities of the area of la sagra and we work in close cooperation with the local public authorities.
Our area is very close to the capital and to toledo, but most young people face different kind of obstacles to reach the oportunities these big cities offer. There is no good public transport system and there is no big cultural agenda in the municipalities.
As the municipalities are small and it is easy to know everybody, we also include local families in the organization of youth exchanges. Parents of participating youngsters help us with the accommodation by hosting the visiting youngsters in their houses. this spanish hospitality makes the cultural exchange even more profound, as participants get to know how how spanish youngsters actually live here.
During the youth exchange days: youngsters usually have breakfast at home and then we start with the activities around 10:00. we have lunch and dinner together, and in the afternoons we spend most of the time in the local public pool. In the evenings there is a cultural program, organized by the participants and the day finishes around 23:00. Spanish summer has long days and the best conditions to be outside is when the sun goes down. we also organize a cultural visit of toledo, so that youngsters can follow the steps of don quixote and feel like knights.
On this youth exchange participants will exchange ideas, points of view and traditions through dynamic activities, sports and through the methods of non-formal education. Developing knowledge and empathy for other cultures, including their history, traditions, and worldview enables people to navigate cultural differences more effectively and build meaningful relationships across cultures.
Youth exchange is for everybody who are interested in the topic, want to travel, learn and meet new people and cultures from age of 14 to 17 years.
Participants will be from Spain 
and Slovakia 
. There will be 12 participants from each country (2 Leaders).
Accommodation (In homes of local people) and food will be provided and financed from the Erasmus + program during the whole project. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to 275 euro. Detailed information regarding financial procedures are written in FAQ and will be further explained with selected participants.

Registration is open until form is closed. Closed form mean we already finished choosing participants and therefore it is not possible to apply anymore.
