Youth work is part of ‘out-of-school’ education and focuses on non-formal learning and voluntary participation. The youth field is rapidly changing, with new challenges and approaches emerging each year. Many youth organizations struggle to engage local youth in grassroots programs due to outdated methods and repetitive activities. As a result, many young people drop out quickly, with 7 out of 10 leaving within two weeks of joining.
Objectives
1. To empower youth workers, young leaders and educators working in youth organisations by equipping them with the needed competencies to run gamified educational youth activities.
2. To develop the gamification digital tool (web platform) for non-formal and informal education
3. Create gamified youth work curricula (tool) adapted to the topic and target group partner organisation’s work
4. To implement follow-up local activities piloting the developed gamified curricula.
Activities
1. Training course (9 days) for the youth workers
2. Follow-ups – local actions in all of the participant countries (June-July)
