Environmental degradation is one of the greatest and most complex challenges of our time. Raising awareness on this issue is particularly difficult, and youth workers play a fundamental role in engaging the new generations.

One of the most effective tools to capture attention and motivate people is gamification. That is, using game mechanics and dynamics in educational and social contexts, increasing youth engagement and active participation.

GENIE is a training course dedicated to youth workers interested in exploring new methods for youth education. The course will provide practical tools and strategies to integrate gamification into their activities, turning environmental awareness into an interactive and engaging experience. Through games, we can inspire young people to become more aware and active citizens in protecting the environment.

Aims

• Train youth workers in the use of gamification tools in natural environments

• Develop the ability to create gamified educational tools

• Enhance youth workers’ capacity to raise awareness of key environmental issues through outdoor activities

• Strengthen youth workers’ ability to motivate young people

Training course if for yout workers, leaders, teachers, educators, volunteers, and everybody who is interested in the topic, want to travel, learn and meet new people and cultures from the age of 20+.
