Main Objectives
– Increasing participants’ and organizations’ understanding of the origins, forms, and effects of hate speech, especially the link between hate speech and hate-motivated crimes.
– Developing the skills of participants to design and implement campaigns and actions aimed at combating the causes of hate speech and hate-motivated crimes, as well as prejudices and racism.
– Enhancing the skills of participants to address hate speech offline and online in their communities and to contribute to breaking stereotypes, prejudices, discrimination, and racism faced by various groups in the participating countries, especially minorities, including refugees and migrants.
– Improving participants’ skills in using various media, especially social media, as tools forraising awareness about hate speech online and offline.
Impact on participants
– gaining a deeper understanding of social exclusion, prejudice, and hate speech.
– knowing new techniques and activities to combat prejudice, social exclusion, and hate speech
– become active and contribute to creating a socially inclusive society, promoting the Erasmus+ program and mobility opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities, such as Roma, minorities, refugees, and migrants.
– become more motivated, and resist social exclusion, discrimination, and hate speech.
– learning skills can be used in seeking new educational, volunteering, or employment opportunities, such as improving their English language skills, ability to operate in intercultural teams, and organizational skills.
– strengthening the ability to plan and execute campaigns, and better understand how to educate young people about online and offline forms of hate speech.
This training course is for everybody who is interested in the topic, want to travel, learn and meet new people and cultures from the age of 18+
Participants will be from Hungary , Italy , Turkey , The Netherlands , Czechia , Greece , Romania , Portugal , Poland and Slovakia . There will be 4 participants from each country.
Accommodation HERE and food will be provided and financed from the Erasmus + program during the whole project. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to 275 euro. Detailed information regarding financial procedures are written in FAQ and will be further explained with selected participants.
