ABOUT MAGAZINE:
Duel Amical was created by international students at Paris Institute of Political Studies to promote respectful dialogue between and within different European countries and exchange of opposing viewpoints and dialogue about various topics.
WHY DO WE WANT TO EXPAND?
Within the European Union, the V4 countries represent points of view that are often distorted or misrepresented in Western European media (one such example would be the European migration policy). We believe that Duel Amical can offer a unique media outlet and present a realistic image of V4 countries’ social, economic and political topics.
We will achieve these objectives by creating national editorial groups in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. In addition to the sections destined to the above mentioned Central European countries, Duel Amical will also create a common V4 editorial board that deals with discussions related not only to one of these countries but also to the Visegrad Group in general and create an entirely new column on the site, dedicated to V4-specific, regional topic discussions.
WHAT WILL YOU GAIN?
– professional experience in writing or translation and possibility to improve through trainings (great professional opportunity for your CV)
– soft skills – teamwork, communication, responsibility, analytical skills
– publishing and advertising of your opinions at an international level. It is good to talk about politics around a beer, but publishing your arguments will reach more people,
– networking opportunity (we have senior, graduate members working as journalists, political advisors, lawyers, IT professionals – you can learn a lot from them)
– you can contribute to present the reality about Slovakia and our society, culture
