“EQ and Mindfulness in Youth Work” is a Youth Workers Mobility project which will be held in Kaunas, Lithuania and will gather participants from 10 organizations’ of different European countries.
In our achievement-focused society, taking a break is often frowned upon. This lifestyle, linked to higher stress levels, especially affects the younger generation. European workers also grapple with work-related stress, with burnout becoming a concern. Enhancing emotional intelligence (EI) offers a solution. EI, crucial for workplace interactions and stress management, predicts success by 58%. Implementing EI training can greatly boost productivity, as evidenced by a 93% increase. In youth work, managing stress and practicing emotional intelligence is vital, especially when working with disadvantaged youth. Youth work emphasizes mindfulness and positive emotions, aiming for a heart-centered approach.
