The covid has generated a pandemic that during the last year has drastically changed the labor market. On the one hand, it has generated a large increase in unemployment, especially among young people, according to the National Institute of Statistics, in the case of Spain the youth unemployment rate has gone from 30.3% to 40.7% in that year, placing us as the European country with the highest youth unemployment. On the other hand, in the midst of this time of uncertainty there are some businesses that have survived and even proliferated, digitized businesses.

The report “Who is prepared for the new digital age?” of the European Investment Bank (EIB ) reflectsinteresting data derived from digitization in Spain, such as: 60% of digital companies have increased the number of employees in the last three years compared to 52% of non digital companies; the increase in productivity and the average salary of employees being 1.2 times higher in digital companies; or that among the obstacles to digitization are taxes, labor market regulation and lack of staff availability.

Faced with this situation, we established the theme of the DIGITALVOLUTION project, since we consider that the digitization of jobs and companies is a large market niche in which unemployed young people can develop their future work, or even create their own digital businesses as an agency of influencers or community managers for businesses.
