Capturing the Voice of Youth

“Capturing the Voice of Youth: A Photographic Journey of Active Participation” is a multilateral youth exchange within Key Action 1 of the Erasmus Plus Programme with the aim of promoting and supporting the active participation of young Europeans, as well as intercultural education. The project will be carried out in Cagliari, Sardinia, from 21 to 28 February 2024 and will give the opportunity to 40 young people (4 participants plus 1 leader per group) from 8 different countries (Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, France, and Slovakia) to work in groups to achieve the specific objectives of the project.

The main objective of the project is to inspire and empower young people to actively participate in their communities and make their voices heard, bringing to light the issues that most closely affect them and bringing them closer to those in which they feel less involved.

Objectives
To foster the sharing and exchange of ideas to educate on multiculturalism and cultural diversity through the values of respect and tolerance;
To promote active participation through the power of photographic art;
To improve the level of young people’s skills and knowledge in the field of photography and visual storytelling;
To increase the engagement of young people in active participation in their communities through the Erasmus+ programme;
To expand and strengthen the international networking of the organisations involved in the project.

Youth exchange is for everybody who are interested in the topic, want to travel, learn and meet new people and cultures from the age of 18 – 25. Leaders can be older than that.
